It’s the biggest holiday in the Nation’s Capital! The National Mall provides prime viewing for the annual fireworks display, which promises to be one of the most spectacular in recent memory.

Fireworks begin

As part of the birthday festivities, the National Park Service and partners host a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show in the heart of the nation's capital. On July 4, 2025, view a colorful 17 1/2-minute fireworks display with DC's iconic monuments and memorials as a stage. Fireworks are scheduled to illuminate the sky beginning at 9:09 pm, weather-permitting.

The nation's capital is an exciting place to be on Independence Day!
